I'm going to vouch for buying food in bulk, as well as the nutritional and economic benefits of cooking fresh food from scratch, and also for the beauty of hand-me-downs. And, in bigger families, there's always someone to play with; kids learn the difference between needs and wants, and what really matters in life. 'Course, in a bigger family, having a married mom and dad makes the chances for success that much greater.
