Not a very good idea??!! By the numbers, this is a calamity of Biblical proportions!! Nothing we do, is going to mitigate the world-wide impact the enormous gender imbalance is going to have, especially on women. It's too late to go back and have a re-do. Choices were made and consequences are inescapable.
But if you look at it at the individual level, which is what we do, I don't have any right to say that one person's reason is better or worse than another's."
Because to do so is to admit, even on the most basic level, that there is intrinsic worth in at least female fetuses, and that by protecting them, there might be reason to protect all the unborn. That truth is of such gargantuan proportions, which most abortion advocates cannot bring themselves to look at squarely, that we may expect further silence, further denial, and further gender imbalances. One thing is absolutely certain--we cannot escape the consequences of a world full of literally millions of "bare branches."
The real argument isn't whether or not a fetus is a human being with rights to life, etc.," but does a woman have the state-sanctioned "right" to commit premeditated murder of her unborn child? And what kind of mind games does a person have to play to look themselves in the mirror if they decide the answer is "yes?"
